Chalcopyrite is a striking copper iron sulfide mineral, easily recognized by its brassy golden-yellow color and metallic luster. Sometimes called “Peacock Ore” (though technically, that term better refers to bornite), chalcopyrite is often found with iridescent blues, greens, and purples when it tarnishes.
