Historical & Industrial Significance

Garnet has been used in jewelry and as an amulet for thousands of years, found in ancient Egyptian, Greek, Roman, and Native American sites. Besides its role as a gemstone, garnet’s hardness makes it valuable as an industrial abrasive (garnet sand) for cutting and sandblasting.

Garnet is revered as a stone of passion, vitality, and manifestation. It is believed to stimulate the life force (chi), ground spiritual energies, and inspire courage and hope. Different varieties and colors carry specific attributes, but all garnets share an affinity for regeneration, protection, and energy alignment.
